Training of Trainers 1 (TOT 1)
This 3 and a half-day training is aimed at understanding the Biblical basis for CHE and basic principles of wholistic community based development. Participants learn and apply the core values of CHE, the steps for implementing a CHE program, how to choose a target community, and strategies for entering the community. Participants learn basic skills for raising awareness, organizing, and mobilizing the community for cooperative action through the formation of a development committee. Participants also learn how to apply the CHE core values into their current ministry context.
The training is set up in the same format that is used in a CHE program in a community. You will be participating in techniques that are used to empower a community to think through how they are going to make positive changes from within rather than relying on outside aid. Plan for an intensive 3 1/2 days of training that is fun, relational, and reproducible. Our goal is that you return to carry out the CHE principles in your country of service.
